Anniversary magazine

Every year deserves its own issue.

One year together, ten years married, a parent's sixtieth: a magazine that gathers the photos of the year, or of a lifetime, with a headline on the cover and pages you turn.

  • The paper anniversary, sorted

In the US the first anniversary is paper. A printed magazine fits the bill perfectly.

  • Month by month

A spread per month or season: the editor sorts your photos by the date they were taken.

  • Copies for family

One for you, one for the parents. Each extra copy costs much less.

The anniversary gift for him or for her

A year goes by fast and its photos get buried in your camera roll. An anniversary magazine gathers them into one object: the night it started, the first weekend away, the vacations, the lazy Sundays. For a first anniversary, 24 pages is plenty; for ten years, go with 40 or 48 pages and a perfect-bound spine that stands up on a shelf.

Paper, cotton, leather

Traditional US anniversary gifts start with paper for year one and cotton for year two. A magazine covers paper, and the matching tee, printed on cotton, makes a fun nod to year two.

Milestone birthdays too

For a 30th, 40th or 50th, gather photos from every decade: childhood, school, friends, big milestones. Ask family for photos with an upload link, no account needed. One section per decade and a few words from everyone make it the perfect group gift.

Common questions

All questions

How many photos do I need?

About 30 photos for 20 pages, 35 to 50 for 24 pages and 60 to 90 for 48 pages. A few sharp photos beat lots of blurry ones, since the magazine prints them big. You can also add pages in the editor and only pay the difference.

How long until it arrives?

Once you send it to print, allow 6 to 12 business days: a quick review, a few days to print, then tracked shipping. How long you take to make it is up to you. Have a date in mind? Send it at least two weeks ahead.

Can I order more than one copy?

Yes, when you buy or right before it prints. Each extra copy costs much less than the first, a little less with each one you add, and they all ship in the same box. Handy for one each, or one for the parents.

Stapled or perfect-bound: what's the difference?

Stapled (saddle-stitched) is how newsstand magazines are bound: two staples in the fold, and it opens nice and flat. It comes in 20 to 48 pages, in steps of 4. Perfect binding gives you a flat, glued spine, like a special edition: 24 to 48 pages, in steps of 2. Same price for the same page count, so pick the one you like.

Can we make it together?

Yes. Sign in with the same email on two devices. Your magazine saves online, so you can each work on it. Just avoid editing the same page at the same moment.
